The second edition of the Purbeck Literary Festival will be held from the 16th of February to the 1st of March 2015 in Dorset. The idea of the festival is to honour the works of the illustrious authors, including Enid Blyton and Thomas Hardy, who either lived in or were inspired by the gorgeous Isle of Purbeck. With the aim of ‘Exploring the landscape through literature’, creative workshops, poetry performances, art exhibitions, literary walks and theatre productions are held in varied venues including magnificent castles, cozy tearooms, local schools even pubs. The jam-packed schedule consists of over thirty events, designed carefully so as to provide interesting opportunities for people of all age groups and interests. The eminent authors one will get to interact with there include Julie Cohen, Freda Lightfoot and Katie Fforde.
With a mad scramble to get tickets and accommodation already underway, it is definite that the Purbeck Literary Festival will exceed all expectations this year. This unique program is garnering enormous attention from the literati of the world, and anyone who has the once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of the spectacle should grab it with both hands!
